Every once and a while one of these threads comes about. I'm not sure when the last one was, however I am prepared for another one.

Recently I have moved to Montana and am living with another family and a roommate. Life is great, I'm doing what I love and am enjoying it. Though moving away from your family is tough, it's nice to have perfectly loyal friends always waiting to take care of you.

These aren't my dogs but I wish they were.

I daresay you are in good company.
The only company I know that is prepared
to lay down their lives for us.

When my brother and I were boys, we had two black labs; Lady and Bella. Walking the game trails on our property, our dogs would line us up. A dog, me or my brother and another dog following close behind. They never walked with us any other way. The girls would periodicly stop us boys and do a quick perimeter scan whenever they would smell or see anything. They would not let us move on without their consent with a quick nip or with blocking our path and tripping us. They were protecting us. We belonged to them. We loved those dogs. They would have taken life and given their own for my brother and I.

    Beautiful dogs there!
I think they got the saying wrong though, cause once they take a liking to you,
I think man becomes dog's best friend! :)
