Remember when guns had wooden stocks and served a practical purpose? Nothing specialized, it put food on the table yet was just plain fun to shoot? Gran Pa said dove hunting was a waste of money/time. They had straight stocks and forearms, shotguns had a bead on the end of the barrel and you could hit what you aimed at just fine. Rifles had plain iron sights or a scope, not a flashlight/spoon/sparetire/laserbeam. Extended Magazines were a brass tube you had to remove from the gun to load? Put your man panties on and let it all out! Lets see some of those old school meat getters that you still use for what they were meant for!

STEEL! WALNUT! STINKY BLACK POWDER! Enough soft lead to knock down a refrigerator! Notch and post sights!

Heehee... Be careful. Dont look at it too long. And thanks.

I'm gonna try my luck with this one this fall.
Recon I should take a pic of my old beat up, bolt action shotgun. Its had a rough life. But sure got many wabbits, squirrels and other critters.

Hell C3 these days if it's not hooked up to a 50" plasma screen with a beer stocked fridge nearby it's considered "Primative" no matter what it's made of :D

Badshot- that Hawken gets loaded with Maxi balls that I cast from lead so soft it you drop one on a hard surface, it dents. Lubed with beeswax and tallow. Several years ago I got 175 lbs of PURE scrap lead foil at a govt auction for 25 cents. Not per pound- for the whole lot. That's enough for over 3,000 maxis. Then I have to find some more lead...... ;)

First buck with that rifle was a 6 pointer at 100 yds. He moved about 3 ft- namely, he fell over- and did not get up.
