Malco Movie Theaters

I went by our local theater tonight, owned by Malco Theaters, and was looking at the movies on the signs outside when I noticed the huge new "No Carry" signs on the front doors. Me and the wife just kept on driving after seeing that. I was curious if this is a new policy at all Malco theaters or just our local one. Has anybody else noticed this at their theater?

I am not familiar with this chain but I went to see The Hobbit with the wife Saturday before Christmas and didn't notice any signs on my local theater. If I had seen the signs I would have done the same as you, I refuse to patronize those businesses as much as possible, especially a theater, the owner must be a ******* and not realize by hanging that sign he has just created a possible killing field for some unbalance a$$hole. Also, if you just HAD to see a movie and that is the only venue to do so, I would only do so by defying the sign and carrying anyways, you almost have to since the owner posted signage inviting any local psycho to shoot the place up.
the big theater chain around here is marcus cinema. before the batman shooter they had a "no guns" sign after the colorado shooting the signs disapeared.

guess it depends on how stupid the management is. sounds like the malco folks are pretty damn stupid
Around here the chain is AMC theaters. I have never seen any signs, but it's been a couple months.
Cinder and I watched a movie earlier tonight. I was packing.

Hahaha........at home or at the theater?
I wouldn't obey the signs anyway. My moral compass is the only law I abide by, to the rest, damn the consequences, innocent life is worth more than any word on any paper.
Regal no signs, Tinseltown has signs but small and easy to miss, signs on private businesses not actually legal in La. All they can do is ask you to leave if they notice you are carrying.

At the theater. Which is a Tinseltown, read above post ^^^
Honestly, I didn't even look for a sign. I don't think they had one, but I don't care, it wouldn't have stopped me.

When criminals (including our government) start obeying laws, I will sell my gun and never own anything other than a hunting rifle, shotgun, and .22.
Yeah, they also say you can't bring in your own food or drink. I ignore that one too. I'm not paying $5 for some popcorn.

We've got some real rebels on here!:)

We did buy drinks. But we smuggled in a snack.
I'm inclined to say in this case concealed is well---concealed ;)
(snacks too) :D
My theater says no weapons. I can't carry (not old enough and live in a crappy state) so I bring a knife, which is on the weapons list. I also smuggled in a cheeseburger once.

Bonus points if you smuggle in a whole combo meal...

Or a pot roast.
Sneak a pet snake in to see a movie, then i will be impressed. :p
I dont know why but I find I want to carry to places with signs telling me to do other wise. I feel comfortable knowing someone is armed, I feel better knowing it is me.

We have Malco here too. It's new since the Aurora incident. I carry mine inside anyways.
