Anybody had any luck with these mounts? It looks like it bolts on the handguards of the AR-15 using the holes that are already in the handguard. I'm thinking of getting it because it provides a good place to put my minimag light for night navigation in the woods while coyote hunting. Maybe I can also put a laser on the other rail.

No personal experience, but we don't do many rifles that have the stock AR handguards on them when they leave the shop. Actually, I can't think of the last one we did do that kept the clamshells in place.

In any event, it would appear like a sound product, at least from application on paper, but the fact that it is made out of polymer, and not aluminum, gives me some pause....

$20 plus shipping - could be worth it to you if it works out. *shrug*

I saw it at a local gunshop and I can pick it up for $15.99, which is what I'll probably do. I wo rather drive a few miles to avoid the shipping costs.

I like the aftermarket handguards, I just can't afford them right now. Maybe I'll get a set later.
