I am wanting to replace the mainspring housing on my Springfield lightweight champion. It is the one with the goofy lock that is built in. Which one should I get? Or do I really need to?

A whole bunch of folks immediatly change theirs out (including me). This was the very 1st thing that I did.
Look at S&A (Smith and Alexander) - they make a great MH. So does Ed Brown. I went with a S&A (I wanted a one-piece MH & magwell and S&A has one). Nothing wrong with the EB one though.

    Another vote for S&A.

If you get a chance, call Alan Smith. He's a hoot! He and Barb are two of the friendliest, knowledgeable and customer focused business people I have ever run into!

Tell him what gun you have and he or Barb will fix you up.

And be sure you tell them you heard about them on the FirearmsTalk.com forum!
