RESIST TYRANNY - Not only does Kotowski trample your 2nd amendment rights, but your 1st amendment rights as well!

It was passed in the committee and now goes to the Senate for a vote, if it passes there it will then go on to the House.

Wont this bill call for confiscation of magazines and no grandfathering? Well shoot, I lost all my 30 rounders in a boating accident yesterday!

yeah, since they don't require a FOID to purchase, I sold all mine at a garage sale at a nice mark up earlier this year.

gee, talk about a law that creates God knows how many overnight felons in IL, as if the jails and prisons here aren't overcrowded enough all ready with legitimate offenders.

Well, to be perfectly honest, I don't see how this law could be any less difficult to pass or uphold than the AWB attempts earlier in the year or the Chicago handgun ban which has since been overturned.

Cook County and Chicago BOTH have magazine restrictions. So does Oak Park, and I think Aurora. These bans are still in effect. Chicago is 12 rounds and Cook County 10 rounds. How do you know how many rounds you are allowed as you travel?

I just looked it up and there could be more that I am not aware of... I try to update this list, but laws change often. http://chicagogunsmith.com/blog/illinois-magazine-and-firearm-restrictions/123/

    Magazines
Cook County, Illinois: No more than 10 round magazine
Oak Park Illinois: No more than 10 round magazine
Chicago, Illinois: No more than 12 round magazine
Aurora, Illinois: No more than 15 round magazine
Cicero, Illinois: No more than 15 round magazine
Franklin Park, Illinois: No more than 16 round magazine

all but aurora are in cook county, wonder which law overrides the other, county or city? pathetic lawmaking at best considering what it takes to pass the bar exam.

What does passing the bar have to do with passing laws :confused

Well since laws don't make sense in Illinois one must assume the opposite, if the answer is red, mark blue. If the answer is true, mark false.

a good handful of legislators are lawyers and you have to pass the bar exam to practice law.

SB1002 is now on the move - Call your Senators NOW as most are currently in the office! Politely tell them to oppose the magazine ban SB1002.
