My Uncle brought this M1 back from WW2. How can I find out when this weapon was made?
When you get a chance stop by the intro section and introduce yourself but I was having trouble getting on www.scott-duff.com/DuffBooks.htm website, but I did get the below info:
M1 CARBINE MANUFACTURES,
SERIAL AND PRODUCTION
WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS COMPANY
TOTAL CARBINES PRODUCED: 828,059
SERIAL NUMBER RANGE
Ok. Will do.
It was made by Inland between May of '42 and September of 43.
