Hey all, I just purchased an M&P 9mm. Just need a little help on which hollow point ammo is best for the pistol. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Anything it will feed reliably.

Any modern pistol with am integrated feed ramp shouldn't have trouble with any ammo.

I use Critical Defense or Gold dot 124gr (non +p) in my two M&P Shields.

I agree with Willfully.



My personal fav is the Federal LE 115G +P+ for SD. It's a fairly hot round and a DPM replacement spring keeps it under control very well. I recommend it even if you don't run hot lead in your M&P.

Buy several different brands and see what it loves, they all should run fine thru a M&P. Only brand I ever had trouble with was Cor-Bon .380 the wife's Bersa refused to extract them.

Ive been a fan of Hornady Zombie Max rubber tipped hollow points. But really, the M&P will eat just about any HP you put through it.

I carry Winchester PDX1 or Rangers in my personal weapons. I carry agency issued Federal HST in my duty weapon.

I use 147gr Ranger T's or 124gr Federal HST's. Never had a problem.
