I've got a 4 cavity in that design and shot the resulting bullet in 30-30 with a reduced load. Been a long time since I loaded any but IIRC 16 grs. of 4759. Makes a fantastic plinking load.

Thanks Alan. Of all the cast loads I've put through my firearms over the years I've never used 4759. My normal cast 30 cal. is the RCBS 30-180-FN. It works great in my 06 rifles but the nose is too large in diameter for the 30-30. I use it but chambering takes more effort than it should. I plan to use the 311440 in it.
