ltc question

    When my son was 19 he was driveing a car when someone else had pot with them .
    He got a ticket for posestion of pot because it was his car it was just a fine will it stop him from getting his ltc.
    He is 26 now any info will help .

    Was he issued a traffic violation or a criminal violation? If it is criminal it may but I would check with legal counsel familiar with MA laws before taking the word of an internet commando like me :D

    continued without a finding dismissed after 2 years

    not sure but he may have an issue with questions #5 and #10 - http://www.mass.gov/eopss/docs/chsb/firearms/resident-ltc-fid-application.pdf

    sorry, didn't see the dismissed part. If the charge was dismissed than I think he will be ok. But I wtill would check with legal counsel, a false answer on the application would be trouble your son does not need ... even if it were an honest misunderstanding :eek:
