Rest people and great deal!!! Also has two billet models
Any truth to the comments that billet isn't as strong as forged?
Too much of a newb to know. I trust Quentin, Mjkeat, and AgentTikki. Maybe they can educate
For the most part, forged is usually stronger than billet.
Billet can be made overbuilt and be made stronger at various stress points to counter this but, if the overall dimensions and weights are the same, forged is stronger.
BUT billet looks better. Just my opinion
I want my lowers with 5k rounds of heat seaking bullets, blessed by Chris Costa (of course).
of course.....out there in the desert, those rounds may just confused.......hrm..................
Not as they say. The Colt re-draw of the AR15 Lower states 7075T6 Forging. You can argue all day as to what is better. Its not as cut and dry as people think. 7075T6 maybe stonger than 6061, but 6061 has better elastisity. http://www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/index.php?topic=1968.0 These guys have a good conversation on the subject without any bias as to AR15s.
You have to remember that all the talk is subjective. Its like saying my barrel can withstand 20 minutes sitting on the surface of the sun, while yours can only last 15 minutes. Its a fairly idiotic argument when you get right down to it.
