I'm looking for a centerfire handgun. Specifications are: under $400, range of at least 20 yards and capable of taking down anything from an intruder to a coyote or deer
Lol it is arcus I made a typo and went back and fixed it my bad guysAre you sure it's "arco"?
Then yes, were I you I'd jump on it and cross your fingers. Most would tell you not to touch. If you want something cheap but functional and proven reliable get a HiPoint. This will be a temporary throw around gun until I have the money for a better handgun, which I have not started looking for yet. Will be a year or so before I can get a better one
9mm parabellum is just 9mm, or 9mm nato, or 9x19mm... aka 9mm. The most common centerfire handgun round known. The Star model B is a great gun, as are all stars. I own two Firestars in 9mm and 45acp and they are flawless. Great guns!My dad owned a highpoint a few years ago. We literally drove nails in with it but it's a little to heavy for what I am looking at, it is my second option though they are all American made in Ohio. I have also been looking at star model B's which are rubbing around $225 on sarco and have good reviews on YouTube. From what I've been looking at they would be a good choice for a low price pistol.. I am not familiar with the 9mm parabellum round though which all of these imports seem to take.
Same thing. It's not known for being a hunting round. While on the topic is there a difference between that and a 9mm luger? I'm sorry if I am asking dumb questions while I know a decent deal of handgun knowledge I do not know very much
I know a few people that have killed with one though. While going through kemo my dad went with one a killed a doe with it. I do not plan on pushing the limits and shooting far just something to have to shoot up close or if I do happen to make a bad shot or one of the guys I hunt with do I can put an animal out of its misery.Same thing. It's not known for being a hunting round.
A 9mm would suffice just fine for your purpose then.I know a few people that have killed with one though. While going through kemo my dad went with one a killed a doe with it. I do not plan on pushing the limits and shooting far just something to have to shoot up close or if I do happen to make a bad shot or one of the guys I hunt with do I can put an animal out of its misery.
