Ok so how do I keep this thing from spitting brass half way across a 200 acre field? I don't really want to use some kind of bag is there a deflector that attaches to the picatinny rail?

You just spray and pray or something?

No but when you set up next to tall brush to shoot ground hogs a tiny little 223 case gets lost rather easy.

I know what you mean. Where I do most of my shooting you have to watch where you stand when shooting semi autos. Pistol brass disappears in almost anything.

The old boys at the range I go to just put a towel over the ejection port area/upper receiver and it catches the brass. I know you said you didn't want to do this, and I'm sure it's a PIA out in the field, though.
