I'm taking my kimber pro carry 2 to the gun show in Springdale AR saturday to see if I can trade for a full size (5") 1911.

    Wish me luck.

Why? I think the 5" 1911's suit me better after shooting several of other people's. Funny thing is, none of them wanted to trade. :D

A guy did offer me his taurus 1911.straight across, yeah, I'll bet bud.

    Good luck Goju.

If you don't make a deal, I know a guy who has a 5" Kimber for sale, but doubt there would be a trade available. :p

I'd trade you a custom Hi-Point and mint RG revolver for it.

Advertise that puppy on Arkansas Carry, the head guy has a nice Springer Loaded he may trade you...

I'm a member there and will check that out. Thanks!

That hi-point does sound tempting though. :D

Will do. I figure with mine having night sights I could make an even trade or something very close. Thanks!

What's that guy want for the Springer loaded? For some reason new Springfield 1911 are hard to come by right now. Maybe they up the XD production.

One of the "benefits" of a Springer is that they do not use a firing pin block as Kimbers (and many others) do. While FPBs don't bother me really, a gun without them just has less parts to deal with...

I wouldn't mind at all to trade mine for a full size springer. Hopefully, that guy will show up. :)

I've had good luck selling on GunBroker.com. You could sell the Kimber and then Buy whatever. Usually on a trade deal at a gun show, you'll take a big hit.

Brian, I just called the store and if I could get one of those Springers (PX9151LP) we would be selling it for $869.00. I think that a pretty great deal IMHO.

I just talked to a local guy who has a black stainless springfield 191 a-1 loaded. He'll give me that and crimson trace grips for my kimber.

    What do you think?

What's the condition and round count on the Loaded, Brian? Do you want the CT grips? If not, what kind of deal can you work out?

It looks pretty good and has 500rds downrange. I don't know if I want the laser grips, but I'm willing to try them and sell them if I don't like them.

    :)
