Yugoslavians, and Hungarians and even Egyptian make great Aks.

I would avoid the century arms AKs. Lots of feeding issues

Bulgarians are pretty good, much better than the chinese, but not as good as the Yugo's

In the last 20 years I have owned 15-20 AK's from cheap WASR's to Arsenals. The ONLY one I ever had problems with was Arsenal......go figure.
A WASR will serve you fine for about $450-$525. $600 will get you a folding stock M70AB2 IMO the best folder made.

Get one soon, assault rifles and lowers, etc in stores are running out of stock, fast. If you have one in a store in your area, get it while u have the chance.

Well there's a few decent ones out there, for between 800-1200 I would try to find a norinco or polytech, bulgarians and yugos are pretty nice also. Egyptian myaadis would be high on that list. arsenal makes the saiga conversions to higher specifications and tolerences I believe. I'd check pawnshops in the area. Sometimes they get stuff there not exactly sure what they have you can fins something nice sometimes.

Yea I've hears mixed reviews, a lot like century their hit it or miss. Again only what I've heard tho no experience with them. From what people report on here they haven't had any problems with them.

I'm quite satisfy with a recent purchase of an AK Romanian 1967 WASR 10/63. Shoots flawlessly with 30 mags and Romanian Chinese-made 75rd drum. Great buy for under $450. :)
P.S. Also added a Bumpski. Wow!

I've had my Yugo M70 for 24 years and wouldn't want any other in it's place. Mine is obviously a pre-ban and would be very costly, but these AK's are built like tanks and I'd definitely go for one of the current Yugos, which are reasonably priced.
