It's not the colt I wanted but it will have to do. I just couldn't keep calling around to the LGS or driving 2 1/2 hrs just for a colt but there's always next year.
So I got a Remington R1 carry.
It came with 8 round and 7 round mag. Has a Novak rear sight trijicon front sight also has ambidextrous safety . I like cause I am left handed.
The one thing I didn't like is the mag I will have to get some new ones.

Nice pick up there! You are going to love shooting her!! ZG has a R1 too and it is a very nice shooter. Here's a pic of hers.
I like the grips on your gun. Mine are what I would call half smooth and half checkered.

I know it's not a toy. I just couldn't think of anything else to put in the subject area.

I'd call it a "grown up" toy unless it was going to be used for HD/SD.

When I got my springer, my first thought was, "these mags feel cheap, flimsy, and just overall crappy"

But they work without a hitch.

Sarge, those are called "tactical grips" and they're old school. The half checkering is supposed to provide better grip.

No the mags don't load properly. Instead of being at a slight angle they are straight. So this cause an FTF

The Remington R1 is a great gun. I have the GI and besides tossing out the crap mags and replacing them with Tripp Cobras I put on a long trigger, a new set of grips and called it Tuxedo.
