Went to my little home town gun shop yesterday, and low an behold there was a nice Mosin. Asked the price was told $69 bucks. I said ill take it,lol. Has really nice bore, and is pretty darn accurate out to bout 150yds got to put some rounds through it today. Gotta love gun finds for under a hundred bucks:D

^^^^What he said. The low cost of acquiring a nice Mosin-Nagant combined with the low cost and ready availability of cheap ammunition make these rifles outstanding values for fun shooting.

Once I corrected the front sight post for elevation (it shot way too high at 100 yards), my M-N is accurate enough that I can put as many rounds as I want into the 8 ring at 100 yards. This rifle has far exceeded the expectations I had when I bought it and has to be, Dollar for Dollar, one of the best values around!

Looks like a round receiver, I cant quite tell, But It looks to have the brass escutcheons or not.

    EDIT...'
Just looking at a few pic's, If its a round receiver then it would be from 1933-1944, But if it has the brass escutcheons it would be closer to the '33-'38 or so, They fazed out the rear escutcheon on the war time rifles to speed up production.
Its always nice to see more MN's
If you get a chance Get a better pic.
    Please and Thank you

The date of MFG is on the round part of the receiver.
