I bought some H4350 the other day because the clerk said it would work in 6.5x50 Jap and .30-06... I can find plenty of data for the -06 but I cant find any for the 6.5 Jap.

I have heard of people using H4350 in the 6.5 Jap, I just cant find any data. My books list IMR-4350 not the "H".

The only two rifle powders I have right now are the H4350 and RL-15.

So if anybody has some loads in a book of theirs using either of these powders, I would love to know!
(Funny, I can data for both powders in 6.5x52 Carcano??? And its a lower pressure cartridge... )

This data for the 6.5 Japanese is for IMR4350. Just come down a grain when using H4350.
    Starting load w/ 100 grain bullet = 36.5, max load = 41 grains
    129 grain bullet = 33.8, max load = 39.6
    140 grain bullet = 32.1, max load = 39.2
    160 grain bullet = 29.7, max load = 37.2

Shot some rounds out of my Arisaka, and got this..

    35.5 gr H4350.. 140 gr SP. Crono'ed at 2200 fps.

No overpressure signs to the brass.

Shot beautifully and close to the military sights :)

Sometimes you've got to dance with the one you brought.

    6.5X50 Arisaka

My load with 140 grain Remington projos is 31 grains of IMR 4895. It' a mild load and loaded specifically for my Nambu Type 11 and 96 LMG's but shoots well in the Type 38 rifle.
