I figured there was a thread like this on every other gun so... Lets see those old warhorses....
I only have 3 so far.... (top) '37-'42 Japanese Arisaka Type 99 (middle) 1942 Russian M91/30 sniper (bottom) 1953 Russian SKS... I have another 1954 Russian SKS but I "modernized" it and no longer think of it as a mil-surp.. More of a "imitation SVD" :D

I just sold my Cetme w/ Stanlag mount and Hensoldt scope yesterday, same reason. Sold it w/ 3 stock sets, Green, black, and wood, to a buddy. Gave him 400 rounds of Dag and Men ammo and 10 20 round mags + 2 5 round for hunting.

I still have a dozen or two left.
This is by far my favorite semi! Top in pic No U.S. parts, it was imported before the silliness began about compiance parts. Every part is stamped and matches, made in Romania at the Cugir arsenal. Imported by TGI.

My old 1916 Spanish Mauser in 7 X 57 that I bought out of the Montgomery Wards catalog in 1967 for under $20. It's a great shooter!

:sigh: When I hear about prices like that, it makes me wish I was born a lot sooner..... I have a buddy who says he remembers when you could get just about any mil-surp for under $50. He said he even bought a Arisaka for $7 when he was a teenager...... Now the prices are insane on most of them... :(

Very nice everyone! Keep them comming.. At least I get see all these old guns..... Wouldnt mind some sidearms as well...

Back in the early 70's, I remember buying a 8mm mauser from Woolco for $15.00. That was one of the most fun rifle I've ever owned (also would give you a sore shoulder if you shot at 5 gallon oil cans a 1/4 mile away all afternoon). I gave it away in the 80s to a guy who needed a deer rifle and couldn't afford it. He still had it when he passed away a few years ago. I'm not sure what's happened to it since.

Mauser Sporter w/Kahles 4x that was taken off a German Sniper. It is chambered in 7.62x63, and was recovered with two Garand belts of M2 ball. I got it from the son of the man who captured it (with the capture papers).

Thanks. It was a gift from a friend whose dad brought it home from Tarawa. It is in excellent shape.

That No4mk1(T) is sweet! To bad your on the wrong side of the country. I have some original ammo that would make it shine. I just sent 112 cartridges north to a buddy that needed them for a shoot. 50 were 1972 SA. Awesome ammo. I still have 300 rounds, sealed, of HXP.
