What are everyones thought on the new Legion series? Like or dislike. And what will be the next firearm to get the legion treatment? Maybe the M11-a1? I personally like them. They added everything one would want aftermarket.

Handled a Legion 229 recently and was impressed because at first I thought the Legion series was just a new marketing ploy. Well it perhaps is a little bit but none the less the Legion is a well thought out and beautifully executed Sig. For anyone who likes Sig pistols I recommend you check the new Legion series out. I like them.

So, what sets the Legion apart from the other 226 variants.

The trigger, reduced beaver tail, grips, sights, smaller slide lock and decocker, slide finish - I think that's about it.

Hmm. Maybe the smaller slide lock and grip change would keep me from holding it down and preventing it from working with my high grip.

I love the look of the front sight on those. I almost bought one, but Sigs just don't feel right in my paws. I'll have to see if I can buy those sights and install them on my CZ's.

Enjoy the Legion. By all accounts it is a heck of a gun.

Also actual crosshatched checkering on the front strap and trigger guard. Not just the lines.

You can buy the "X-Ray" sights from sig. But they arent any different from the trinicon HD sights

I thought they looked brighter. Guess I'll have to check out those Trijicons. Thanks.

    Legion: 9mm dao/sao

Just got one a week ago, and put 3 magazines through it yesterday. Awesome weapon. Love the sights, G-10 grip, the decocking lever , and the great accuracy right out of the case. Shooting from DA to SA was terrific. Seemed like about 7.5/8 pounds to, maybe 3.5. Surprised me the first time, but after few decocks to a double-tap it was awesome. Hands down my best pistol. Have Glocks, XDm's, a Kimber, and several other Sigs. Its the best of the bunch. Love the weight and solid feel. A fine piece of engineering.

SIG excels in two things: making a good pistol and blowing hot air. Not only does it sell you a 226 for $1300, it grants you access to an exclusive web site where you can spend more money on SIG merchandise. Brilliant.

Ever since Tom Sawyer allowed you to paint the fence for him AND charged you for that, this **** never dies.

Actucally the legions go for 990 in my store. Not much more than any other sig and it gets you a bunch of better features. Trigger is amazing. I dont know why there is so much hate for the legion series.

Thats what im saying. The higer grip allowed by the trigger guard under cut and improved beavertail make it amazing when held. I think
    Im going to
Have to order a second legion. This time the 226 in 9mm. Just cant decide between the DA/SA or SAO

Have you looked at LEO trade in models. P229s are out there for $400ish if you shop around.

I don't hate the Legion or its manufacturer. My go-to bullseye pistol is a 226 variant. I only commented on SIG marketing. No other company sells a gay pride azure-pearl finished combat style pistol for two and a half.

Speaking of the price tag, of course SIG does not control what the gun actually sells for - we do. I'd buy another SIG easily, I just pity the fellow buyer who pays more on false expectations.
