My question is, with the lee die warranty can I get a new 40 S&W factory reset and deprimer die? I was reloading yesterday and the deprimer pin snapped off right where the pin goes into the larger section. I've only had the die for 4 months. If I can does anyone know of the process to get the replacement ?

I don't know if it's worth a warranty claim for a $2 part. I wouldn't bother, but if it's worth it to you, call Lee ((262) 673-3075) and see what they say. If I were a Die Manufacturer, I probably wouldn't cover decapping pins under warranty. Decapping pins break, stuff happens. Keep spares on hand.

Lee is very good at covering their products under warranty.
It's also a good idea to buy a couple extra decapping pins. I've broken many over the years, and learned a long time ago to have spares for every brand of die that I use.

Do you have any other Lee pistol die sets? If so, you can pull the decapping rod out of one of them and put it in your .40S&W sizing die and get back to reloading.

Lee will probably send you a new one and may or may not ask you to send the old one back. Sometimes they only ask for a picture of the broken part. How did you break it anyway? I've only lost the pin out of one Lee die and that one was pulled out when it wedged into a very tight flash hole. I've broken one RCBS pin when I turned the turret with the ram up. Other than that all my dies have the same decapping pin that came in them from the factory, some more than 20 years ago.

Lee decapping pins are not replaceable by the average user. They are pressed into the decapping rod.

I would absolutely call them. Mine did the same on my RCBS and they quickly sent the new parts with 5 spare pins in case it happens again!

They should warrant their products and honor any broken parts within the warranty period.

The pin broke by a tight flash hole. I tried to take the pin out of the die but it will not come out. I've tried everything but if I try anything past what I've done I will ruin the die. I have been using my 45acp decapping die to deprime the cases then I use the 40s&w factory reset it works good but I like using my single stage press more than my turret press so it really adds time to the process. As many probably know or have learned single stage presses take more time, but I feel like it puts more pride into the final product.

YES, Its policy is that it is covered for 2 years. After that they will repair
or replace it for 1/2 the current price. Contact LEE and find out the current price (it will be current suggested retail price not the cost you may have gotten when you originally bought it from a dealer or other source as they tend to slightly lower in price.)
