Looking for a compact .45 and I stumbled on this one locally. Did a lot of research before I bought it and the bottom line is they're good accurate guns but not a base for a custom build. As all I wanted is a good basic shooter, it seems perfect. Picked it up for $425 with 3 mags, 2 sets of grips, a Galco holster, and box & papers...

I really like the RIAs, good quality for a "fun gun". But man, have they ever gone up (along with everything else:mad: ). A year ago my RIA 1911 was $319 out the door. Still think they are a great value, but another 50 dollar jump in their price and you are in the "save a little more and get a base Kimber" territory.
