I converted my Maverick 88 to a Bullpup and now mounting a green laser sight on the top rail. The laser I got came with a pressure but it only stays on while the switch is being pressed. If you have a laser sight on your shotgun do you use a pressure switch or just use the on and off button?

My firearms with lasers that I own(ed before that horrible boating accident) all used a hold-it-down type pressure switch.

I have both and prefer the pressure switch. Remember the laser is visible in both directions.
It might be prudent at times to turn it off.

While in THEORY the beam of a laser is not visible from the side, that theory only works in a perfect world in which there is no dust, smoke, fog, etc. In the imperfect world, it shows to some degree.

My point is it is detectable by those so equipped.
