Text from ISRA email.
Can this really pass?
About as likely as a shallow water deck ape being literate... LMFAO!!!
(USN Snipe, hehehehehehehe )
Seriously, I doubt it, but I will be spending some time tomorrow,
making phone calls and sending emails.
I have been all over this. Flooded My FB and my fan page, tweeted repeatedly, and I keep sharing my website article ( linked above ) hoping everyone will get on board and make a difference!
Any bill has a chance of passing. That is what's scary. Nothing I'd panic about if I were a citizen of Illinois but take note of it as every proposed bill is a window into the thinking of the person who introduced it.
With Illinois about to be forced to pass CCW, this seems like a reaction to defang it by making sure citizens are severely restricted.
As a semi-regular traveller to Chicago I wish they'd knock this nonsense off. None of it makes me feel safer about visiting.
If it passes the gun shortage in IL will switch to a house for sale sign shortage lol
Update from the ISRA.
I knew when the federal court slapped Illinois "particular chicago" I knew the chicago slime would pull a stunt like this ! chicago politicians want it their way always or no way at all ! they are criminals and communist !
Here is what I wrote to my State Senator Sue Rezin and State Rep. Pam Roth
this morning in response to Illinois' Gun Ban Legislation. You can use it as
you see fit. Short and to the point, adjust it as you see fit.
Bill Brady posted on facebook that he would not be supporting it. He believes in the second amendment and that people should not be limited on possessing firearms and protecting their homes and family. I can't imagine this will go through with the landslide that the last of an got shot down by. But you never know I guess
I agree that it will not likely pass, but we have to make sure that our
elected officials know that we as law abiding gun owners disapprove of
these proposed laws. You know that the anti-gunners are calling all day
long pushing their point.
Also keep in mind this is a lame duck session so those that were voted out
dont care and will vote a direct that will most benefit themselves not
neccessarily their constituents.
Both Sue Rezin and Pam Roth oppose these bills.
Rezin (R), Roth (R) and Mautino (D) all oppose the gun ban bills.
Hutchinson's (D) and Dugan's (D) offices both stated that neither
politician has communicated a position on the bills HB815 & HB
1263. You can draw you own conclusions on those statements.
The bills were pulled and won't go up for a vote.
Makes me feel a little bit better about my travels north.
Where did you see that???
My bad -
The downstate democrats would be lynched if they voted anti-gun and they
know it, the Chicago Dems have to depend on the Downstaters to pass
anything and they know it.
This is great news!!!
Thanks for the link!!!
Fear not as I'm sure they'll try to sneak it in again soon. I'll bet these politicians hate the internet and social media that quickly alerts citizens as to inpending legislation. Stay ever vigilant.
Unfortunately, it went from proposed, to pulled, to delayed. Looks like they will try to re-introduce it later.
Stay ever vigilant indeed!
