I saw this picture of the Lab. Which I have had 5 of them over the years. But I also had two English Setters. The old one was named Judy! I had to laugh when I saw the caption in the Lab picture. I recall if I would take her and some of my friends quail hunting. If they missed on the Covey rise and missed two more times as we flushed the lone quail. She would literally seemingly give me a bad stare stop hunting and come and walk behind me until I encouraged her to continue to hunt. Like I am doing my job but they are not!
Almost saying to me, I can't retrieve what they let fly away!
I was always sure to hit the next bird or some in a covey that came up next that she froze and pointed.

I’ve had two Border Collies. Wonderful dogs. Smart, easy to train.
