You need to get there as early as possable say around 5am because trafic starts backing up for miles and you will be walking a good distance before you can catch the shuttle.

Other then that it is fun..

its like disney world for firearms enthusiasts. I havent been since 06, so I don't recall ticket prices or anything. However, I do recall the massive range littered with old cars, water heaters, washing machines, etc. The firing line has artillery machine guns of just about any make you can imagine. go to the night shoot, the tracer rounds make the demo more interesting. Plus they have a flame thrower at the night shoot. a little deeper in the woods is the small arms demonstration. Here you can actually pay per mag to shoot AKs, Uzis, tec-9s, etc. They also have the largest vendor area of any gun show i've ever been to. If you can't find it at Knob Creek, then it probably doesn't exist. Knob Creek is one of those events that you simply do not pass on if you have the time & resources to go.

edit: Like Opaww says, if walking a long distance is an issue for anyone in the group, you better get there early as f.

I havent been in a while, but I will tell you this...it is a liberal's nightmare. It will restore your faith in America. Stay in the 'ville, Radcliff is limited and E Town will probably be booked up. More to do in LVille anyway. Like my KY brother said, go early!

If you hope to stay in a Hotel or Motel then book a room as early as you can. This draws a lot of people from all over the place. KCR has some camping facilities for Motor homes or campers.

I don't know what the cost is but I'll ask Kenny next time I go to the range.

KCR is about 15 miles from Radcliff so if you don't mind a short drive you might be able to get a room down this way but book early.
