Explain your choice and why?
Because i like springfield and cant stand kimber
I'd take the SA every time, merely based on all the QC headaches that have emerged from Kimber of late.
Kimber has been around for a very long time. their guns have good track records and they are all tight and strong
Wouldn't trade mine for anything. Be careful though, i've heard from a lot of people that their quality has taken a nose dive in the last year or so.
Given the choice of the two marks, I'd go with the Springer every time.
I've never has a Kimber, but I love my Springfield!
Damn westy that is nice looking pistol. Come stock in that color tone?
Btw what model is that?
Nvm westy I found the model after doing a little research. Now I really want one!!!
I'm also a fan of the kimbers as mine have never failed me. As said before, they are made very tight and strong. And they are very accurate. But I've also heard great things about the Springfield as well. People swear by them as you can tell by this and many other threads. IMO I don't think you could go wrong either way. And I also agree that westy's springfield is a pretty awesome looking 1911!
nickel1911, please lecture them, anyways Kimber is still the best. take it or leave it.
I don't think i'd say they're the best, but i wouldn't trade my kimber for anything.
Kimber the best??
Thats a negative ghost rider..
"the best" is the one that will go bang every time when you need it to. I happen to own a pair of kimbers that have gone bang EVERY TIME. I also would never trade away my kimbers. But I definitely wouldn't mind ADDING some Wilson combats, Ed browns, nighthawk customs, colts, Springfields, etc... To my collection. Kimbers were my introduction into the world of 1911's and in MY personal experiences with them, I've NEVER been let down. I am still very pleased with my choices.
