I've read about all the problems people say they have with Kimber 3" barrel pistols but I liked the look of the Kimbers.
I took a chance a few months ago and bought a Super Carry Ultra + , so far I've put over 600 rnds thru this pistol without one FTF or FTE..... I've put 230 FMJ and 185 critical defense and a few others, it eats everything.
I carry this in a Concelco holster even when I wear a tee shirt, it doesn't print and is very comfortable.
The most important thing is it is very accurate.

I have an Ultra CDP.. It had issue when the previous owner shot reloads  I was there, and told'em not too. It also had issue with two 'shooting star' mags, they're JUNK! With my Kimber and Wilson Combat mags it has ran flawlessly with several types of ammo.

Not sure why some people have FTF FTE issues.. Mags or ammo is what I gather.

I've used Kimber , Chip McCormic, and Wilson Combat magizines, they all work well.

I have a 3" Ultra CDP II and the Wilson mags are great. I love it all around.

I carry a Kimber 3" Raptor at times and have had no issues with it
I will suggest to anyone shooting an alloy lightweight Kimber NOT to use McCormack stainless mags...they will ruin the feed ramp in a very short time.
Kimber mags, Wilson,Pachmayr or Colt all work just fine, but the McCormack mags, particularly the Shooting Stars exhibit poor QC
