I'v been hearing and reading about the Kel-Tec30. I had not seen any in the gun stores as of yet. Has anybody heard anything about this gun? Is it out yet? I called Kel-Tec about 3mos. ago and asked when the gun was going to available. They said by the end of April or May 2010. Hope it turns out to be a OK pistol. I been looking for a 22 magnum handgun for a while when I heard of this one.

I had my dealer order me one, several months ago.Who knows, when it will come in.
It's funny how all the mfg's have the products on display at the SHOT show, but can't seem to produce the crap.
And then they wonder why the public doesn't buy their stuff.

I got a flyer at my store last week, I think it was from Ellett Brothers.
They're in stock. I think the price was around $279

Thanks for the info. I will e-mail Kel-Tec and tell them they just lost a sale. I think I'll go with your idea.

The Excel pistol is a nice gun,but the magazine only holds 8 rounds, and the pistol is pretty large. Not something you will try to CC.

WOW! the Kel Tec is 7.9 inches and 19.6oz (loaded). the Excel is 12.8 at 54 oz. Quite a diff. Maybe I think this out before I buy.

I want a Kel-Tec PMR-30. I am unwilling to be a guinea pig though. I will let others do the T&E and buy a "gen 2" later this year.

The Excel Accelerator is also having magazine issues...
First thing a smart owner does is pull out the coil spring and replace it with a oval or squared mag spring...
as the OEM mag spring allows the follower to dip on one end...causing no end of loading problems.

The other headache is the low round count for the mags...frankly, if you are going to make a .22 Magnum pistol,
it better hold at least 20 rounds, MINIMUM.

Otherwise, you are loosing the benefit of what .22 WMR can do as a pistol round.

At the moment, the only .22 Magnum pistol I currently own is a Grendel P-30, the Daddy of the Keltec PMR-30.
It works just fine, but you have to treat it like an AR-15, as in, keep the action CLEAN.
I also polished the bolts of it & the R-31 (Grendel Carbine) to a high shine for better functioning.
So basically, I treated 'em like a Marlin 60 or 795, polish, trigger job, clean, and enjoy :)

But I'm waiting on the KelTec PMR-30, I want one :)
And I don't mind getting a 1st run...because I can actually mod it myself if needed.
PLus I'd send back the info of whatever mods were neccesary to proper function back to Keltec so it would help them as well :D

Robo,I guess I'll have to be your guinea pig.I'm hoping that my dealers distributor will be one of the ones getting them.
I'll give a full report on it when it comes in and I'm able to try it out. THB
