I have a few of them. Show some off. Ill do one every now and then to extend my fun.

My father is a Vietnam vet, so this has special meaning to me.

Well worn. What's the history? I have a short knife as well. Not like that one. That one looks like it has many a story to tell.

Not a blade expert by any means, but that looks like an Ontario Pilots Knife.

I wore out my father's Navy Kabar growing up.

It literally took @ 10 years. Landscaping, tree-trimming,

you name it. I didn't realize it at the time, but it was

an epic torture test. It's a standard by which I

compare all other sheath knives. They usually come up

    short. Very short.

While I can't corroborate the "Ontario", we have a winner with Pilot's Knife.
While this knife has spend over 20 years with me, I purchased it from an old crusty guy that ran a seafood shop on Hood Canal, on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

He indeed referred to it as his pilots knife. I didn't get much more on the story, which I now regret.

I use it more as a pack knife or vehicle knife rather than a belt knife.
I open carry a .45, but my government frowns on me having a knife :(

Here are some WebPics of the critters.

I will be honest and say I've never handled a Ka-Bar folder. What is your take on them? Solid builds?

There is only one problem with it. The damn screws are falling out of the handle!! I think this is the only model of Ka-Bar made in China.:( I really like the knife. It's sharp as hell because when I first got it I took a small part of the tip of my thumb off.
