OK everyone has pushed for me to keep my Mauser K98. The first thing I need to do to it is get the front site adjusted. The site some how got knocked way off to the left. I've looked online for a front site adjuster but the reviews say they are worthless. Does anyone know of a good tool to use or a I going to have to machine one myself.

It`s just dove-tailed, take a brass punch & tap it over.............

That sounds like an good idea but I'm thinking of installing a new front site because something hit this thing pretty hard to move it that far and I'm scared the blade of the front site could have gotten bent. I'll try that but thought that they were pretty tight in there. Thanks

Many times front sights are moved before shipping from the country of origion. The K98 front sight should be fine. I would suggest drifting it out the side it is going and re-installing from the other side.

The actual front blade holder is just held on there with a set screw under the blade...............
