Well, I finally did it, I took the plunge, and ordered a Mosin Nagant 91/30 from Classic Arms. :D It is in really good condition, and is a 1930s model. I got it and all it's accessories for $89.99. Now I just have to play my least favorite game of all, the waiting game. Any ideas how long it should take to ship?

I wanna see pics & more pics & i mean the naughty bits like the bore and crown & bolt face & everything just "hangin out all over". :D

Do you get the oil can and ammo pouches and sling and such too? Let me know how the transaction goes; my nephew had good luck getting his WASR from them, no issues.

Yep, it is supposed to come with everything. :D

I'll be sure to post some of them naughty pics for you. She's going to be a dirty girl when she gets here with all that cosmoline. I'm going to have to strip her down naked and clean her good. :D

They have a pretty cool website and some great prices. If everything goes smoothly, I will buy from them again. The lady that answered the phone was nice too. She said they (2 people) have been busy with their 4 phones all day (took me a few trys to get through). I guess thats proof that people want guns now more then ever.

Congrats, now order at least one spam can of ammo and some liniment for your shoulder.

I really like the 20s and 30s guns, nice finish, usually good shooters.

Thanks guys. I'm not too worried about the recoil, My go to gun is a 30-06 and I hardly notice the kick any more. (plus, I have really high pain tolerence) :D

Thanks for the link jp, I'll have to order some next week. :)

Just remember when you mount the bayonet you MUST attach a red clearance flag!

You are so right about that, Trip put the bayonet on his mosin last weekend, that thing is almost 6' tall with it on. The bayonet itself is a cruel instrument, it starts as the longest straight bladed screwdriver I've ever seen. It rapidly flares to a four sided piece of evil metal. It would be very hard to stitch a wound from it. I thought the Geneva Convention had language in it as no army is to use a bayonet that had multiple sided blades?
C3, am I mistaken on that?

Congrats on the Mosin...just beware of their propensity to multiply.

BTW, does anyone else notice the irony of thousands of Americans exercising their rights by purchasing rifles once used by Communists to deny them to others...

It's going though UPS Ground, so it should be $20-$25. Between the cost of the gun, the shipping, and the transfer, it comes out to about $130. Not bad for a rifle in good condition with all the bells and whistles. :D Plus, that is cheaper then one would be around here (if there were any around here). Between the 4 gun shops around here, no one has had one in a while. There was one guy who has transfered a few, but not many.

Yeah, I was watching some videos on it, and a guy stood up next to a mosin with the bayonet on. It was taller then him. :D I'm venturing to say that this would be the worse home defense gun ever unless you live in one big open room. :D

    No problem.

    Ouch.

I think I have already been bitten by the Mosin bug. I havent even got it yet, and I'm already wanting a M38, M44, M28/30, and a Remington 1916 Nagant. :D
