Just got this bad boy home & I cant wait to shoot it!! Colt LE6920 Socom M4-A1. I'm having trouble sliding the (Knight Arms) Quad-rail covers into place. If anybody has some sound advice, I sure would appreciate it :)

Ouch indeed...... However I did shop around for the best price and its on par with the going rate. You may be able to find one online for a little less, but you'll have to pay an FFL's fee so it probably evens out. What it all boils down to is my local gun shop guy had this one on hand & ready to go. And its not a stripped down AR. It comes with a few bells & whistles. Took it to the range yesterday & it feeds & shoots unbelievably higher than my expectations, and dead on accurate. Its true what they say: Colt sets the standard for AR-15's. its 100% mil-spec. I'm VERY happy with this purchase. Money well spent

Thanks all! I'm starting to come down with a serious case of BRD!! Next I'll probably build one from the ground up! :))

Wow.. a very pricey. I thought they are about $1100 price range? If i were you i'd get DD or BCM. Its just my opinion. BUT hey you really did yourself one of the best brand out there too. Congrats and have fun spending time with that beast.

I haven't seen any SOCOMs in the $1,100 price range.

I could only find 3 differences between the SOCOM & the basic LE6920, but they were a big deal to me. The SOCOM has a heavier barrel I believe, the quad-rail, & the ambidextrous safety selector, the latter being the deciding factor, cause I'm a lefty.
