I just got back from the range. I wanted to take the Jeep out. And I was over due for a range trip. So...I killed two birds with one stone. The wife went along for the ride and took some pics. I just thought I would share. I was shooting my 1858 that Tina and Daniel gave me for my birthday, as well as my Super Blackhawk. Just a great time driving around in the desert and shooting guns, with the wife in tow. What else could I ask for.

The 1858 shoots much better with the round balls than my home made bullets. I used a really soft lead bullet that I poured with my 200 grain mold. It is really for a .45acp. But I figured, what the heck, its a 451.
They were really hard to start because they are not rounded at the bottom. They may not have been perfectly straight. That could account for the poor accuracy. The round balls did fine though.

Thanks ThreeTango. It is a 1962 CJ6. My Son and I have been working on it since April. There is another thread about the work.

    Thanks DR.M

We have been having a lot of fun with it. Sadly I just had to sink $500 into tires a couple days ago. They looked brand new. But after sitting in a field for all that time they were weather cracked between the tread.

It is still a project in the works.

I know how projects go, trust me. ;-) the cj looks great. It's alot of fun but can be frustrating at times

Just dumped about 2000 into an axle swap that has been going on for 2 months now, and was supposed to be a direct weekend job lol.

I have had a few of those 2 month long weekends. They are never as fun as you think they are going to be.

How come I never get to have a 2 month long fishing weekend?

Makes me jealous. I just found a few cracks in the frame of my cj5, so I haven't been able to take it out for a little while. Not much better than Jeeping and shooting with the family.
