Do not carry either of them before you have a reasonable amount of experience handling them. I'm not a glock fan, yes they are good guns but for the price there are others better for less money imho. The sd was 'designed' specifically for self defense hence the 'sd' and the hinged trigger. I've been carrying an sd for around a year now and i love it. Cheap, accurate and dependable what else could you ask for.
Just got an sd9ve
It's my first pistol I have a glock 21 but I haven't had the opportunity to shoot it yet which should I carry? I live in alaska so I'm leaning towards the glock for camping but should I carry the 9mm for concealed carry?

I like the sd quite a bit I've put 200 rounds through it but ill take your advice and get some exp thanks
