Shingles....if you're referring to the inlays on the Nelson, it's either fine silver or platinum. I'm pretty sure he used platinum on that gun along with yellow and rose gold. The shading combined with the photo lighting does give it a similar look. MOP wouldn't survive bluing or case hardening.

I’m doing a little business in your part of the world, well much closer to you that I. I have a carry rig on order with Andy Arratoonian of Horseshoe Leather Products in Ripon England. It's such a pleasure dealing with a gentleman of his distinction.

We colonials find conversing with one using the King’s English reminiscent of the George Bernard Shaw quote, “England and America are two countries separated by a common language.”
