Just bought my very 1st shotgun!

    Just purchased a Mossberg 500 Flex All Purpose 12g like an hour ago...Im super hyped about it! Cant wait to shoot it!

    You should start with trap if you haven't shot clays before its much easier....nice gun :)

    Thanks....i know this will sound crazy but what is the difference between trap and skeet?

    Skeet the clay's go right to left and left to right. They move very fast. Trap the clay's move away from you. Use a full choke for trap and a skeet or open choke for skeet. Trap for most people is easier to master.

    Remember the clay's are moving around 60 mph. Not as easy as it looks.

    By the way how does does it feel to finally have your first firearm in your hand :D My first was a shotgun too and I couldn't put it down for the next 48 hours. I field stripped it and cleaned it about a million and a half times lol

    Ohh this is just my first shotgun...i have a springfield xdm .40, spikes tactical .223 ar-15, and a remington 597 .22lr... My next addition i want in a .50bmg upper for my ar-15

    Whoa there big fella -- keep your feet on the ground. You're doing very, very, well so far. A bolt action big bore might be something to consider next, and last, for a while. Hunting season will be over early next year and they'll be almost free, used AND new...

    Congrats!!! If you start getting into the clay sports you have to give sporting clays a try, it's all I do anymore.
