    Hello all!

Just bought my first 1911 today. I held a SA Range Officer, Loaded, Trophy Match. A Sig TTT and a Colt Gold Cup.

But when I held a Dan Wesson Pointman 7 I feel in love! I knew then it had to come home with me.

Only could get some crappy pics at my LGS so here's those and a couple pulled from the Internet for reference

You did say "first". You know what that means?

Looking for a range report to follow.

Looks like you live in a "WAIT" state and couldn't bring it home.
Once you shoot it you will need to change your screen name.

Sweet... When I win the lottery or get a better job, I will get an Ed Brown or Dan Wesson 1911. Be careful, the 1911 trigger may spoil you. :D

Are you allowed to own a Glock and a 1911 at the same time? That is just wrong.

    Thanks!

That's about as old as the Caliber debate.. I'll leave it at that for the sake of not spiraling out of control into ANOTHER Glock vs 1911 thread ;) :p

1911s tend to be EXTREMELY addictive. Don't be surprised if you end up with two or three more 1911s in your collection. ;)

I just bought my first (Remington 1911R1) a few months ago, and I am hooked. I already want another in 460 Rowland or 400 CorBon. Maybe one in 9mm or 38 Super too. The heck with it, I want them all. :D

I am really thinking about a Dan Wesson 38 super. I am told it is the 9mm for grownups. :)

Les Baher makes one as well, I just need the $.

Be careful! I found that after I got into 1911's, my polymer pistols felt less appealing to shoot and started to get neglected.

This is what I keep hearing.... Lol.

Every gun had its purpose. My 30 will stay my SD but I'am sure my DW will get ample range time ;)

Yes this is completely permissible. One to use on a regular basis and one to stay locked in the safe.

And now you know which one get's locked in the safe.
