I'm no different than most any other person who likes action/adventure flicks, so when John Wick Chapter 2 was available on the free weekend of HBO, I got two cold Michelob Lights and a huge cauldron of buttered & salted popcorn at the ready for when the movie started. For me, I try to identify the various firearms being used in these films, or see how one may have been altered in some manner to look more menacing. The sound effects from the shooting must be a recording of the 16-inch guns on an Iowa class battleship. Good grief! I quit counting after 100 bad guys were toe tagged. It's amazing how computers have helped with making movies, and the shooting involved, so dang realistic. For most all of us, we see these movies as entertainment and know full well that the actors involved are gonna get up off the floor, take a shower to remove all the fake blood, and then go have dinner with the guy that shot them earlier with blank ammunition. We can only hope that some of the younger, more easily convinced population, who may be watching, develop the same understanding. I sure hope they do.
