I've got a Sears / JC Higgins shotgun (583.600 and I believe this is a High Standard Supermatic also) that i think has a bad extractor. There is a gap of about .055 between extractor claw and shell rim when shell is against bolt face. Every other shotgun I have looked at holds the shell against bolt face but not sure about this one. Extractor claw doesn't appear to be worn or to have been messed with but you never know.I have located a new one if it needs to be replaced. This shot gun had some cycling problems but i discovered this when i was cleaning it. This is a gun was a grandfathers hand down to one of my 4H shooting sports kids and would like to get it back in operation again for him any help would be appreciated.
