I just got a jc Higgins model 60 12 semi auto for 250 dose anyone have any info about it.
About all I can tell you is from memory when I was growing up. I think they were made by High Standard and marketed through Sears under the JC Higgins name. That's the best I can do for you, but if you have a serial number you could Google for more. Keep in mind, if it was made before 1968 you may not have a serial number on it.
I had one. Very reliable but the adjustable choke is a joke.
I like mine. Mines a sears model 20
yep, high standards. utility grade guns.
I had one for a while when I was in high school. I don't think mine had an adjustable choke on it. It had a plain barrel and it fit me and I could hit quite well with it. I do remember it was a pheasant slayer, though just a bit heavy when carrying it all day. $250 seems a little high, but for what guns are going for now, it was probably a fair price.
So far I only put a hand full of shells thro it. And I'm liking it when I get to the house I will post pictures.
Here it is
Nice the 60's are auto's. the 20 is a pump
should last ya a long time. keep it clean.
Well that's the problem lol I can't figure out how to break it down to clean it real good.
I just fixed a model 20 a few months ago. I had to unscrew thw mag tube to get the rest of the guts out of it. Im not sure if thw semi is tge same way just wanted to throw that out there.
I don't know I was messing with it last night and I didn't get anywhere lol.
