RWC. About $450. Is that a good price? New. Starter "AK". What do y'all think about this model?
Can't go wrong with a saiga, the conversion is pretty easily done as well. Not sure about the price but the way everything has jumped up is probably pay it.
What is "the conversion" folks keep talking about?
Turning it into the AK model with pistol grip and you have to move the trigger group.
That is a bit outside my wheel house. Maybe someday.
I'm pretty sure you have to do the 922 because "assault weapons" have to have 5 American made parts to be imported.
Edit for clarity, 922r dictates it cannot have more than 10 imported parts once converted
Yep. 922 dance is required.
I've never heard of anyone that jas done ot saying its difficult, from what I hear, its fairly straightforward.
Yea I've never done it, but I'm pretty sure its done with a few basic hand tools. Either way the saiga is a great rifle.
Agree, the Saiga is a good choice.
I got lucky and bought mine for $300 still in the box with 2 30 rd mags from a gun dealer getting out of the business.
I've run about 250 rds thru it and have had absolutely no problems so far.
Love the sound of an AK.
So did you end up getting it?
Even if you have to postpone the conversion - they are still a hoot to shoot. In stock trim - think of it as a modern SKS.
Not yet. I still want it but I have to see how the bank account looks after the holidays. I really want to have it before the gov't say I can't have it. That's a major concern. Especially after the tragedy last week in Connecticut. You know that has the liberals out for blood. Well, we'll see I guess. Happy holidays y'all.
I hate how this administrations first response to it was reinstate an awb, both sides are wrong on this issue, obviously an awb will do nothing to stop crime and we are wrong too for thinking that this shows why we need to do what the Swiss do by arming everyone, and yes if everyone were armed there would not be any crime, but forcing everyone to have guns is unconstitutional, obviously everyone on here would agree that no one should be forced to own guns but there are some people who believe in this radical theory, but it was a tragedy and the government needs to stop using these tragedies for political gain and start figuring out how to stop these people.
I went with the Saiga 12 110. In .223. $460. The only one left. I wanted the ak round but I guess this will have to do for now. I think it will be a nice starter AK.
Your not gettin ofd with just that, were gonna need some pictures atleast
I don't know how to post pictures. It won't let me access my photos on my phone.
Recall how Mittney got himself in deep sheet when he candidly spoke the truth about the American people?
Ask yourself; does any politician want to stand up and say that the garbage-krap job of parenting that Americans do is the major cause for most of our issues in this country?
No - be political suicide, just like standing up and saying that Yes, Social Security is in trouble and needs fixed. So yes - the gun is the low-hanging fruit.
You can talk Switzerland all you want, betcha priviledged white kids in the shadow of the Alps don't come home from school and hide in the rooms on Myface and vidiot games.
For that matter - neither do American black kids.
Which explains why we never hear of black teens taking ARs to school. If they came home from school with Bart Simpson smart-mouthing and headed to their rooms for hours of vidiocy - their mothers/grandmothers/aunts would beat their teeth in.
Instead, we had a bimbo blonde running a wealthy but broken home trying to be buddies with her psychopath son instead of being Mom and boss.
No - it is NOT the guns. It is the individual - almost always raised "wrong".
Ask yourself why is it that before the GCA of 1968, we could have 20mm anti-tank guns, all typs of rifles, pistols - MAILED directly to our door - yet we didn't have the palid little white boy shooting a cannon at the front door of the high-school?
We could have rifle clubs at high schools, and buy .22 ammo damn near everywhere but church.
Because we still valued a family unit, not like today with whosyerdaddy, wheresmydaddy, Ihave2daddys.
We still had God in our country and not just as a line of text on our money, because Dads had jobs and Moms stayed home and raised the kids.
We had discipline in our homes AND our schools. No Bart Simpson backtalk back then; the teacher would beat your butt, then mom and dad later.
We had cartoonish violence out of Hollyweird back the, not that porn-of-violence we have today, everyday, all day, in movies and on TV. If Hollyweird couldn't exploit sex, violence, and violent sex - they'd be out of business.
No one in power who wants to stay in power has the gonads to hold up the mirror to the American people and say:
Here's your effing problem!
Amen to that.
