My wife has been hinting that she wants a two tone 1911, and her birthday is coming up.

Fine looking pistol. Sig makes a solid 1911.

So it's still on layaway as my wife's birthday isn't until July but is it normal that I'm already thinking about my next gun? Maybe once I, er um she gets to shoot it I'll be better... Maybe...

Brought it home today, had it on layaway waiting for Chrysler to finish paying for her.

So it was long overdue but we finally got to the range. As my (wife's) first 1911 it's the finest shooting handgun I have ever owned, I'd say it was best gun I've shot but the jerk next to me let shoot his Colt Elite Operator 10mm =) It was also extremely accurate. I'm normally on the silhouette but nothing I would call grouping. This gun I was grouping around 5" at 10 yards although 6" to the left of bulls. The guy who let me shoot his Colt was making ragged holes was also 6" left so it's the gun and not me. Overall extremely satisfied, zero failures with a couple different SD ammo's and 100 rounds of Winchester white box.
