Israeli Mossad .22 LRS

    Thought this article deserved its own post here on the forum:

    Most would consider the .22 well underpowered for self defense,and I would generally agree.With pistols around the same size as even the smallest .22 being available in calibers such as .32acp and .380acp and a bit larger in 9mm and even .40,I don't see any reason for using a .22 for self defense.

    But as a specialty caliber its history is quite full of effective usefulness.

    Don't discount the "lowly" .22.

    They also used silenced versions of the AR-7 to shoot guard dogs and street lights before raids.

    .22s do serve their purpose.
