im thinking about getting the rock rivers ATH carbine. ANY OPINION?
How much have you shopped around for other manufacturers? BCM makes a good SS 18" upper but its out of stock.
Whats the wait time on the RRA?
theres no wait time. i have searching for a couple months. i thought i wanted the 18" varmint
Wish I could help but I know very little, almost nothing, about AR's. I have always heard good things about Rock River though.
Someone will be along soon that can help you. There are some very knowledgeable AR guys on the forum.
ok...thanks...hope someone will give me an opinion cuz im so close to buying
Do you have a link? Rock River has been a good company for quite awhile. We have had members here who have posted some great Range Reports with their RRA sticks, I am just not familiar with this particular model.
What is the intended use of the AR ? So many to choose from, milspec to bench shooting and anything in between.
my intent is really for long range accuracy
For a bench gun you might be able to put one together yourself for less $. IMO an A2 or PRS stock would be best suited for longer ranges. Rifle length gas systems seem to be smoother/softer shooting which might lead to better accuracy.
What your looking at would most likely work for long range shooting. 1/8 twist is good, a different rear stock would help like mjkeat said. I wonder what the weight is ? I prefer something both lightweight and accurate to pack in the field. The coyote rifles look nice as well. Tough choice in barrel length and weight ect. For what your spending You should look at Daniel Defense's web-sight. I have a v4 carbine that shoots 1 moa easy its lightwieght, quality parts and has DD exellent rails. BCM has many choices as well. Then theres Armalite, Stag, so many options..and nothing wrong with RRA. Good luck
I've owned a Ruger SR556, RRA LAR15, and now a BCM. You can't go wrong buying any Rock River IMO.
RRA is a good rifle, i don't know about the ATH (or what it stands for), but i have a Rock River AR, it's had over 3,000 rounds put thru it w/o a hitch. 1 MOA @ 100 yds........guaranteed. 16" Mid-length M4.

Discount Guns for Sale - Buds Gun Shop
Buds has great prices. Their Daniel Defense ARs were about $300 less than anyone else but they had a hard time keeping them in stock. If you find what your looking for their prices are hard to beat.
