is that any thing to be ashamed of. i am shooting the springfield 1911 range officer.
Only if it was done at 7 yards or less.
Agreed. Just for giggles but how far are you from the target to get them groups?
Eh, 1.5" at 5 yards is still a torso hit at 50 .
But, it also depends on how quickly you were shooting, and from what position. Two 1.5" double-taps within 1 second is good even from 3 years .
I think he ment 3 yards
That is absolutely TERRIBLE!! I think you need to send me that pistol imediately before someone gets hurt.
Who says you could do any better? Im just asking here
Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of for a 5, 7, 8 or 10 shot group.
In my experience, that is good shooting considering offhand, ball ammo, fixed sights, etc.
Think of it this way...you could have 3 shots touching edge to edge and be pert near an inch measured center to center already.
eta: my reference to shame above considers the shooter to be at least 7 yards from the target
You do realize that the comments by spittinfire where said tongue in cheek?
I do but i also know that thats shooting not very many people are capable of with a pistol at 25 yards.
What was the distance??
25 yards wray
Seriously? I dont think that i know anyone that can shoot a consistant 1"1/2 group at that range..
I can on a really good day....about once a month.
i can too on a good day... once a year! lol!
Usually i put all 8 rounds in a baseball at 50 yards. But then again i shoot two at a time. One per hand
Its getting REAL deep in here
I saw Annie Oakley do that at the County Fair on the back of a horse with a guy named Cody at the reigns a few years back.
