I was on my rifle team in college (a lot of years ago) and was a range officer. I had not used firearms until early this year. On the way home from a baby naming for my granddaughter in Seattle we had a stopover in Minneapolis. There I watched television of the Virginia Tech tragedy. It profoundly changed my outlook because not that many years before my son and daughter-in-law received their masters there. And before that I had recruited for my company there. I had walked those grounds and had been in that building.

I am a confirmed nerd so I tend to dig into the details of things way beyond what is necessary to make sensible decisions, sometimes to my detriment. I am insatiably curious so I read and experiment a lot. I enjoy sharing, if I can make a contribution.

Thanks for the welcome. I visited Georgia Tech for business while I was attending Case Tech. My most memorable experience of that trip is that when I was leaving for the airport it was snowing. It took a while but I finally found a cab driver who grew up in the north and could drive in the snow. I made my flight.

That would be the admin's ( notdku ) call ultimately. I don't have a problem with it as there are others that promote their own website, some of which is gun related. All I ask is that each response or post doesn't direct our members to some site you have affiliation with.

I want to be perfectly clear. My only affiliation with the two web sites is that I am a user of the represented pistols and am a contributor to them. I have no ownership interest in either. I am an enthusiast, so I can sometimes go over the top. I'll try to maintain some restraint, but be gentle if I stray.
