large pistol, small rifle mag, and small rifle in stock at the ammunition store, if you don't mind using the cheap corrosive wolf primers and also paying twice the price, they are $60 per thousand, but thought I would let everyone know if you are willing to pay the price they are in stock and they have a bunch.

$60 for Wolf primers is insane. No, it's just downright stupid to pay that much. You can do better, CCI and Winchester were going for $41 at the Bill Goodman show and I refused to pay that.

I fully agree, I need some myself but there is no way I am going to pay that price for them.

the price is ridiculous.

But wolf primers are not corrosive. they're actually fairly high quality.

Really? Interesting, others I have talked to and I have always heard that they are cheaply made and corrosive/dirty. I have never used them myself so I can't say, but with the shortage right now I would use them no problem, just definitely would clean my guns right away, but either way there is no way I am paying double the price for them..... That is just plain rediculous and I cannot believe that people are paying double the price for them like that.... It's horrible....

Well they got 78,000 back in stock of the small rifle primers today, still at 60 bucks per thousand, let's see how long they last once again....... stupid people... I wish there was a way to post comments on their website so I could make a post about how they are ripping people off horribly.... I am making a list of the companies that are doing this crap with their prices to remember that when things go back to normal to never buy anything from them ever again.

Yeah I know that's my point, 60 bucks per K is totally rediculous..... I just can't believe people would pay the crazy high prices like this knowing good and well they are getting ripped off.

I saw some CCI primers for $50/K, I'm not that desperate and I'm not fighting a war. I have plenty of supplies for my shooting and hunting. I have been finding a few things in stock but I am not paying crazy prices.

A few weeks ago, I asked the clerk at a local store if they had any small pistol primers. I made the mistake of not asking about a price. After I got out of the store and back on the road (was working and in a hurry), I looked at my receipt and found I had just paid $30 for 500. Lesson learned.

That's capitalism for you. They have the supply and people that buy them have the demand.

At a gunshow this weekend the few boxes of primers I did see were all $50+. I didn't buy any as I have 20,000 or so in stock and can wait out the craziness.

I will never buy another thing from the ammunition store or from cheaper than dirt for what they are doing with all this price gouging crap to their customers and I am hoping others will follow along. I am keeping a list of the gougers so I won't do anymore business with them and keeping a list of the one's that are staying reasonable with their prices and will continue to give them my business.

It's not price gouging! All these companies are doing is keeping up with supply and demand. If they didn't raise prices they would go under. If people are willing to pay 80 bucks for a brick of .22, you can bet the companies will sell .22 at that price, it's just supply and demand. As demand goes up, so do prices. Gouging would be during Katrina when a-holes were charging 30 bucks for a case of water. Those peopleNEEDED water to survive. People don't need primers to survive.

How would they go under? Do you really think that the prices of these primers and stuff have gone up and are costing them so much that they have to raise their prices this high???? I think not because other companies are getting the same things in stock and still keeping reasonable prices so I do not believe for one second that the companies that make these reloading supplies have raised their prices so rediculously that the companies selling them have to do the same..... why can I find the same primers for regular prices at one store and then 3 or 4 times the original price at another??? Doesn't make any sense.... They are screwing customers that are retarded and willing to pay idiotic prices, plain and simple.

I just paid $47.00 for 1000 large rifle primers here in Southern California. I don't think the demand is as high here as it is every where else.
