My return came a day early, let's see what follows me home...
Are you looking for anything in particular?
What he said...I think
1911 in .45 ACP.
3 stores down. first was in the process of selling the only one they had in stock, a 70 series colt. The second store had only a taurus, and an old Ithaca that I would have snatched up but it was out of my range and they weren't willing to talk about out. The third store had no 1911's at all.
The search continues. I started with the smaller pawn shops first, moving on to an actual gun store now.
I hope she's not fat, ugly, and hopping on one leg! I had one of those nights before...lol
If the price is right, go for the Colt!!!
Oh, if you find a Rock Island 1911, you could get it, plus another ($300-$400) gun for the same price as the Colt.
I saw a nice Kimber Ultra Carry II yesterday for $900 NIB. Would probably go for around $400 and my G36 with night sights but cant spend the money right now. I wont be getting a tax return. There are a bunch of used 1911's from various mfg for $500 or less at the LGS's but I need a light weight.
LOL! Sounds like Brooks road.
Here she is, Springfield mil spec.
yeah, get that one! i like that. good starting point for a custom 1911. how much they asking for it?
Nice...straight up Government type...looks alot like the one I earned a medal with back in '76...enjoy!!! ( you did say you bought it...correct?)
Nice! That is a justification for your data plan right there.
Nice. She's purdey.
Don't forget to do a range report.
I bought it, she's at home during in front of me at the kitchen table.
First impression, love the gun, even like the holster and mag holder, but the mags feel cheap as hell. If they work, they work though.
Range report will be coming this weekend.
Why in the hell do they only give 2 mags and a double holder? Make it 2 mags and a single, or three mags and a double! One's going to be IN the gun, DUH!!
Maybe that makes it Cal. legal. Can't carry the weapon loaded.
Congrats brother, im happy that you finally got one.
She's a beaut trip, congrats.
Maybe so, but even they have done away with that carry method nowadays.
$650 cash price. NIB, never fired (except factory)
