I'm confused

    The folding stock is welded in position.
    Only when the welds are broken and the stock made functional could it be called a SBR and have to be handled accordingly.

    Thanks for the info. :)

    I think if I ever get one, I'll just go through the NFA process to make it a rifle. It looks a little heavy for a pistol.

    DanF is dead on. I have hands-on experience with these. The stock is welded, but the one I used would be impossible to break the welds on the stock without ruining the upper. Also, the bolt is different from the full-auto version, making it impossible to convert without a parts kit that changes the upper and bolt.
